Schiff says “ample evidence in plain sight” of Trump-Russia collusion

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) doubled down on the Trump-Russia collusion allegations, claiming there was “ample” evidence that President Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Moscow, The Washington Times reported.

His remarks: Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, Schiff said:

“Yes, there’s ample evidence of collusion in plain sight. But that is not the same thing as proof of a criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Last month, Attorney General Willia Barr released his summary of Robert Mueller’s report on the Trump-Russia probe, concluding that the special counsel found no proof the Trump campaign colluded with Russians.

“I would defer to Bob Mueller’s judgment, and I do,” said Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. “But I think what we’re talking about here is the difference between conduct that rises to the level of criminality and conduct that is deeply unethical, unpatriotic and corrupt that may not be criminal.”
