CNN’s April Ryan’s bodyguard violently ejects NJ reporter

Video surveillance shows CNN political analyst April Ryan’s bodyguard violently throwing out a local New Jersey reporter from an event where Ryan was the keynote speaker, Fox News reported.

The story: New Brunswick Today editor Charlie Kratovil described the incident in a lengthy Twitter thread last Monday.

“During the intro, this man came up to me, mentioned my video camera & asked me ‘Who are you with?'” Kratovil wrote on Twitter. “I gave him my card & explained that I followed the proper channels to cover the event. I asked if he had a card & he responded by saying he was ‘with the speaker.'”

Kratovil argued that the bodyguard then grabbed his camera and carried it out of the room.

‏“Don’t touch my camera, please. Put that down. Don’t you dare. Put that down, sir,” Kratovil told the bodyguard.

Kratovil said he wants an apology from Ryan and said he plans to press charges against the bodyguard.

“Her reputation now depends on finally addressing this situation head-on and proclaiming that what happened that night in New Brunswick cannot be tolerated,” he said.

Kratovil said that Ryan told the crowd she didn’t want “news covering my speech,” despite there being another reporter in the room covering her address.
